Volunteers NEEDED!!!!!

ORJT Families,

We have officially reached CRISIS MODE in regards to Volunteers. We currently have 105 openings on Saturday.

Nope, not a typo. 105 Openings!!!

Even with Coaches and Board Members volunteering even more time to fill positions, we still need help. Please find it in your heart to fill a spot, even if you're not obligated to do so.

Currently we do not have enough volunteers to host an event for our children this weekend. Please help out.

2014 Scholastic All Stars Application

2014 SAS Application (Click here for the application or go to documents under 2014 Football and Cheer)

The Sierra Athletic Conference (SAC) and Oak Ridge Jr. Trojans (ORJT) youth football and cheer program sponsors and encourages all participants to strive for scholastic excellence. Oak Ridge Jr. Trojan youth football and cheer program will hold an awards ceremony on Friday January 23rd to honor the scholastic achievement of our Scholastic All Stars/scholar athletes.

The Oak Ridge Jr. Trojan program strongly believes that academics should be the primary focus in our children’s lives and we welcome opportunities like this one to recognize children who have been able to maintain high academic standards while participating our program.

If you qualify….please apply

Last year we had close to 160 Scholastic All Stars!

All football players and cheerleaders are eligible to apply for scholastic recognition by the Scholastic All Stars program. Applicant must maintain at least a 3.0 grade point average during the quarter/trimester/semester in which the applicant participated in an SYFC football or cheerleading program.

    ·  GPA for all subjects will be determined by the following scale:

                                   A = 4 points

                                   B = 3 points

                             C = 2 points

·   For applicants attending schools that do not use letter grades or where the applicant is too young to receive a letter grade, a letter from the applicant’s teacher, on school letterhead, will be given consideration for Scholastic All Stars honors. The letter must state the applicant would qualify for consideration with a minimum 3.0 GPA based on a 4.0 grading system. If the letter does not specify the letter grade, the applicant will be awarded the Bronze Medal.

Thank you
